Behind the camera

Hello and nice to meet you! I'm Tove Ruohio.

 

It's exciting to think about how I ended up where I am now.

Five years ago, I wouldn't have thought that I'd become a photographer. I've had several breaks in photography, but the spark always seems to rekindle. Even though I had photographed occasionally when I was younger, I started photography for real in 2021.

 

During the last year of high school, I took a photography course where I learned the basics of photography and editing. Inspired by the course, I applied to study nature photography at Axxell Brusaby after high school. While applying, I had completely forgotten that when I was younger I had once dreamed of becoming a nature photographer.

 

Nature and animals are especially close to my heart. In my family we've always had e.g. dogs and horse riding has been a hobby of mine for 10+ years. In horse and pet photography, I can naturally see what looks good and at what moment the picture should be taken.

 

One of my dreams is to collaborate with small businesses. I want to find businesses that have similar values to mine and give them high-quality product images that highlight the company's values and the story of the product.
